Emergency Publishers Inc. (EPI) is a publishing company specifically for those new authors wishing to provide publications to the Emergency Services Community. While major publishers have large overhead costs and focus mainly on large "Class adoption" books, EPI is specifically focused on new authors. Working closely with the author(s) our staff helps the author through the development and review process to assure that the end result is a product that that will meet the needs of the Emergency Services Community. Modeled after the original "Brady Company" model, our staff works with a family type approach rather than a Corporate process. The author works directly with a nucleas of individuals that are focused on just their manuscript, one team from start to finish. We believe that most of todays "authors of renoun" had someone give them a chance to be published at the beginning of their careers. We also believe that there is a need for opportunity, and that many good authors just do not fit into the corporate publishing system and do not get a chance. As a matter of fact a number of our authors are sent to us by corporate publishers that could not justify fitting their books into their system. Our low overhead and access to printing and distribution resources that we routinely deal with face to face, assures that the progress continues, and allows us to get materials done in much shorter times than many large publishers that plan years in advance. EPI is dedicated to having as many distributors as possible help sell your book, and does not require that EPI be the sole source or the only place to purchase your book. Amazon, Barnes and Noble or any of the many distributors of Emergency Services books, they will find an open door and easy ability to provide your book to their customers. The goal is to get your book out to the consumer. Because of our efforts to give authors a chance, two of our initial publications have been seen as so sucessful that they were obtained by major publishers. The authors that started with us were able to show that their books were well received and have moved on to major publishing companies. We are pleased to be the starting grounds for new authors with good ideas and books, and we are pleased to see them move on to larger publishers. Due to our low overhead we are able to share the profits in much larger percentages or royalties than large publishers offer. This allows for an author to be a true partner in the success and to share a larger part of the profit. Additionally we do not enter into any long term contracts.we feel that if we treat you right you will stay with EPI.and if a better opportunity arrises you should and do have the right and ability to take advantage of it. We are partners not owners of your manuscript, or your future ability to work with others. |
